Overall aim and context of the lesson
This is the third lesson
in math numbers. To handle the class
properly by addressing on wanted behavior. Deliver the lesson properly with
time management.
|
Choose ONE aspect from the lesson to
evaluate and discuss (one paragraph each) according to following:
Firstly, SELECT one aspect that YOU feel
either you did very well or were unhappy with.
This is my perfect lesson ever and Miss
Sharon come and observed me this is the first time for her to observe me. I
wasn't novice but this day I was sick and I thought that I'm losing my voice so
I was worried. Even in the end of my lesson I was so sad because all the
children didn't listen to me when I said clean up and they still doing the
activities and I count from 1-10 to make them sitting in the carpet.
DESCRIBE the situation, participants and
events in detail
Even I was sick but I prepare a good lesson
with numbers song and movement. Counting from 1-20 and I put all my activities
in the centers. In the carpet I started to ask them where you can find numbers.
They went around the classroom and told me the numbers, after that I told them
to close their eyes while I put balls into a cone I told them to hear the voice
when I drop the balls into a cone and they love this idea. One thing that I
tried to teach them which is listening to the teacher.
Secondly, ANALYSE WHY AND HOW, this event
happened in the way it did.
In the centers I explain for them what they
will do and I took mix levels of the students (LAPs, MAPs, HAPs, and SAEN) in
my focused group. And I taught how they can match the numbers with stones. The
students started doing the activities and they enjoyed, I was with my group and
I gave them the activity to make them busy while I go around to the other groups
to check what they doing. After that it is time to clean up and I told them to
clean their centers but nobody listen to me they kept doing the activities so I
count from 1-10 to make them sitting in the carpet but again no one listen to
me.
Then, APPRAISE the situation. What effect did the event have on you/your
feelings? How did it effect students’
learning?
I had to think quickly what to do so I talk
to them and I told them "I'm not happy and you are not listening to me
what happened today before you were listening but today!!!" they were
sitting in the carpet listing to me quietly also I told them "you need to
listen to your teacher when she speak you need to be listening, today I will
not give you any point in class dojo and I will put you in yellow" and
they took long time for cleaning their centers.
Finally, TRANSFORM, the situation by
writing how you would improve the situation in a future lesson.
I need to work on their behavioral and the time for cleaning the centers
so I will put for them timer for doing the activities and time for cleaning
their centers or I will put a song clean up, clean-up it is will help them to
manage the time.
Good job Mariam. I like your lesson and always forward.
ReplyDeleteGood job Mariam. I like your lesson and always forward.
ReplyDeleteExcellent Mariam. But next time maybe you need to have different loud sound to make them clean up and finish quickly.Sometimes the loud sound may effect.
